There are no major holidays in August, but it does happen to be “Happiness Happens Month” and nothing makes me more happy than when travel happens!

A noteworthy festival that happens every August: The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. In Scotland, a Tattoo is “An evening drum or bugle signal recalling soldiers to their quarters.” Each year, visitors are invited to a spectacular performance of military bands and regiments, which showcase their skills, culture and heritage.
